20 Weeks...Halfway There!

Well, I'm twenty weeks pregnant!! I can't believe how fast its gone! I'm halfway done! If you consider the fact that both my babies came early...then I'm more than halfway done! :)
Many of you have asked if we know what we are having yet. And, unfortunately, we still don't know. Its so aggravating because I already knew at this point with my boys. My doctor is being extra cautious with this baby due to the medication I was on when we got pregnant. He wants us to wait until the baby is well developed to make sure all is well. I understand and am appreciative of his concern, but it doesn't make the wait any less intense. We have a sonogram date of November 11, so I am holding my breath until then!

I was so certain that this baby was a girl. I was just so convinced. This past week I have had this heavy feeling that its another boy. Everything tells me its a girl; the heartrate is opposite of the boys, the way I'm feeling is opposite of the boys, the way I'm carrying is opposite of the boys, even the kicks are different than the boys. The boys kicks were strong, sturdy. This baby is very delicate. Blake hasn't even felt kicks yet. But even after all that...I just feel its a boy. I know in the end we just have to wait, and I will be extremely pleased with another boy, but oh how I want a daughter!!!

This pregnancy has brought on many emotions...and hormones! My poor husband has had to endure so much already. Although I want this child, I am terrified. How will I be able to manage with another??? I can barely cope now! I'm always exhausted, and it seems the past few weeks my house has been in a constant state of chaos. I just can't keep up. I need a housekeeper!! There are days that I'm fine...then days where if someone looks at me wrong I'm in tears. My mother can attest to that! Ha! And poor Blake. He should be able to come home and relax, unwind. Not come home to a frazzled, blubbering wife. I know that this feeling of inadequacy is temporary, but I am ready for my hormones to level out!

Everything else is doing good. We are slowly on the search for a bigger vehicle. Three carseats don't fit in either of our cars, so if we went anywhere, we would have to caravan! We are just in a tough spot because we cannot afford a higher car note, and I'm pretty sure we are upside down on my car. And we can't afford two car notes. We need a miracle people! Pray, pray, pray!

Well, thats all folks! The next you hear from me, we should know boy or girl! Yay!!

Ethan's First Haircut...

We took Ethan to get his first haircut. With Evan, we took him at three weeks and it really wasn't a big deal for me. He gets them frequently and does great. With Ethan, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I love the color, the texture, and the way it kind of flipped up in the back. But he was starting to look like a girl and it was time.
Didn't it turn out cute?!?!?

First "Official" Appointment...

Today was our first "official" appointment. We had a sonogram and got to see Baby Wallace swimming around. You can't really see definition yet, but there are definate arms and legs...and boy were they moving! The heart is beating strong and everything looks good.

There is an old wives tale regarding a baby's heartrate. It is said that boy babies have heartbeats under 150 beats per minute and girls have heartbeats above 150 beats per minute. Both of my boys had heartrates in the 130 range. So are you wondering what this baby was at??? 177!!!! WOO HOO!!! Now I know that all of this is just speculation and we really could have a boy...but for now I'm still holding out hope!! :)

Sonogram pictures soon to come....

Oh My Word...

This happened about a week ago:

Evan has been obsessed with shoes. Especially Daddy's shoes. So he was walking around, being a boy, and I headed off to get lunch ready.

A few minutes later, I realized that I hadn't heard him thumping around in a while. I went on a search and this is what I found...
My blood started to boil! It was my fault for leaving my make-up bag on the bathroom counter. However, we have been working with him on not touching things that are not his. So if that weren't bad enough, there was mascara in every tube of lipstick, my lipgloss was black, all my eyeshadow was crumbled, and there was mascara in the toilet. Yes, I said the toilet!!

Needless to say, there is now a child-proof lock on the bathroom door. (And also the pantry, our bedroom door, and Ethan's door!)

New Toys...And Lots of Fun!!

My parents love to spoil my kids!! Evan got a new nerf gun. I personally think Blake had more fun than Evan did. They set up all sorts of little people, and made a little city, and had fun knocking them over, or at least trying to! :)
Ethan got a really neat blow up penguin. He would kiss it, hug it, and knock it over. Then laugh when it would shoot back up. It is supposed to light up and sing, but I didn't have the right size batteries. But even without them...it was a hit!
And I just had to post this one because he is just so darned cute! :) (Even though it is time for a haircut.)

Boys Will Be Boys...

Evan is definately a boy!! Uncle John found a turtle and brought it to show the boys. Evan went crazy...wanting to touch it, hold it, hug it, and kiss it! And lately he's really been into bugs. He starts screaming, "Look! Bug, Bug! Look!" Man, I thought I had a few more years!
